The Yamaha C3XPE is a professional-grade grand piano that strikes an ideal balance between concert-level performance and practical versatility. Built in Japan in 2019, this instrument belongs to Yamaha's highly regarded CX Series, which incorporates tonal concepts and structural innovations drawn directly from the flagship CFX concert grand. At 186 cm (6'1"), the C3X delivers substantial bass authority and tonal depth well beyond what smaller baby grands can achieve, while remaining manageable for home studios, teaching environments, conservatories and smaller performance venues.
The C3X features a thicker back beam for greater structural rigidity, maintaining projection and resonance even under powerful playing. The soundboard uses a crown construction derived from the CFX, with revised attachment of the soundboard, ribs and bridge to increase responsiveness. CX Series Special hammers employ felt technology developed for Yamaha's concert grands. The result is an instrument capable of moving from delicate pianissimo to commanding fortissimo without losing clarity—equally suited to classical repertoire, chamber music, teaching and contemporary styles.

Why the C3X
The C3X is often considered the sweet spot in Yamaha's grand piano range.
